TSHIRT FEATURE V.24

Well this tshirt feature will be a little different. Joanna is one of my best friends, her and her boyfriend shane are doing a feature today. We decided just to put them together.

Name/location Joanna long island, ny

Tell me about the shirt: This is a shirt from the singer/song writer Owen. its printed on american apparel and its probably the most comfortable shirt i own.

Why is it important to you?: i listen to owen every single day, to say he's my favorite is an understatement. i also despise children more than anyone i know so its like this shirt was made for me

Where did you get it? : i ordered it from the polyvinyl website for 6 bucks when they were having a sale.

Any story you want to share about it?: ive definitely gotten a lot of weird looks about it. especially the one time i wore it to work.
Post your blog/band site/whatver i dont have a blog, i just want people to read yours!!

name/location: Shane from Lindenhurst Long Island

Tell me about the shirt: It's The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels! He is a pro wrestler.

Why is it important to you?: It's HBK. It should be important to everyone! He was just my favorite wrestler when I was younger.

Where did you get it? : I got it from my friends brother. Don't know why he would give away such an awesome shirt but he did.

Any story you want to share about it?: It rules.

Equal dinner opportunities!

Friday night I had to go to LL Bean to see if they had these sock inserts for my rubber boots. A week or so ago I was at nordstroms looking for some, but they were sold out of almost all of the kids hunter ones. They didn't have any that went with my boots. Joanna let me know that LL Bean sold the same type of thing, but when I went to the store they didn't have any kid sized ones(damn having tiny feet!) They sell them online, but I hate waiting for things in the mail! Oh well!
Since we were right next to it Pete and I decided to grab dinner at the Yard House. I went there last year with my mom, but that was the only time I went. I guess since then they added a whole section of the menu that has meals with Gardein chicken/beef. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but Pete is vegan so this was really exciting. Usually he will settle for anywhere I want to eat, but it was awesome to be able to go to a place and we could both get a meal we loved.

It was so dark in there, but I still tried to take some pictures. Pete got the sliders with Gardein and I got the stir fry bowl with brown rice and chicken.

I also really like the Yard House, because they make everything fresh and you can take away or add things. I just asked them to take out a couple of the veggies I was allergic to and it was no biggy. I hate when I'm out somewhere and they tell you it's a mix and you can't ask for it without something. My food was great and Pete loved his. I can't wait to go back

Thursday on Monday

Thursday after work I headed home to grab my mom and my uncle Jimmy. We headed into Brighton to get some grilled cheese at Roxy's.

Then we decided (well me) that we needed treats. I was thinking where we could go and James suggested cakeology in the financial district. We headed over there and they were close to closing so there wasn't a TON of variety left, but there were some.

I got a vegan chocolate one and a mini chocolate one with crunchies. My mom got a red velvet and my uncle got a vanilla one. The place was super cute and the nicest cupcake place I've ever sat in. They also had fortune cookies. They don't top Treat's cupcakes, but it was still super yummy.
It was a nice night for a Thursday!

Weekends go by too quickly

I hate how you work all all week just to have 2 days off. Well I wrote about Friday nights bowling trip to Viking in this post.
Saturday I got up and met Caitlin and Dave over at ikea. I said hi to mom and got a cinnamon bun. After ikea I headed to A New Conception in Hanover for Caitlin's ultrasound! At first the baby was hiding, but after some stretching we got to see her face. It was so cool!!! She made so many faces at us.
After that I headed over to Pete's.
Sunday I picked up Garvey and we met up with Pete in Quincy. We headed to Westgate lanes in Brockton.

Then we got Chinese at Chengdu!

Then I cleaned my boots, but that's for later!
Roxys was Eliminated off the food truck race on food network. My mom was devastated, but I'm gonna bring her there this week to raise her spirits.

TSHIRT FEATURE V.23

I'm really excited about this weeks feature! Another one of my girlfriends is going to be featured and thats always fun.

Name/Location: My name is Anne, I live in Belgium.

Tell me about the shirt: It's a Restless Youth shirt from their 2006 summer tour after they released 'Light Up Ahead'.

Why is it important to you?: I bought this shirt the first time I saw them and they quit about a year later so I didn't get to see them play a lot. I really liked this band, it was different than what I was used to. This is one shirt I still wear a lot.

Where did you get it? : Ieperfest '06 in Belgium. They only had it left in XL so I made it smaller.

Any story you want to share about it?: I made my first friend in freshman year of college because she was trying to read the back of this shirt.

Filling the tv void Madmen has left

The new season of Madmen is taking so long, there was an issue with the new season so they started filming it late. It is supposed to start in march 2012, thats over a year since the last season ended and I'm dying to find out everything. How is the company going to do? How will Don's new girl work out? Will Betty ruin her 2nd marriage? I NEED TO KNOW. I was kind of surprised with how last season ended that this long wait between seasons has been killing me. Since the show ended last year I've been struggling to find shows I like to watch. The walking dead filled a couple weeks, but I got mad at the show and was annoyed with most of the episodes. It was such a short season and I was mad with AMC that they did that and are having people wait so long for the 2nd season of that show. I've been watching so many reruns of NCIS and law & order SVU. The short season of Ice loves Coco also got me through for a little while. Now there are two new shows that are starting within the next week that I'm looking forward to. The one that I'm KIND OF excited about, but I don't have super high hopes for is the Playboy Club.

I'm not crazy about Eddie Cibrian, but he was okay in CSI Miami. I feel like I've seen Amber Heard before, but I wasn't sure where. After reading her wikipedia page I decided I must have seen her in a Criminal Minds episode. I didn't recognize anyone else in the cast on the website.
The next show I'm excited for is Pan Am, I actually have high hopes for this show and I'm really looking forward to it. I've been poking around on the website and facebook page for weeks.

Christina Ricci is in the show and I'm happy to see that she has a big starring role in something. I didn't really know anyone else on this cast either. I like shows where you don't remember someone from another role.

Friday night bowling alley review

Tonight Pete and I wanted to go bowling, but I wanted to go to another new alley. I decided that East Bridgewater wasn't too far to drive so I decided that we were going head there. After dinner we drove over there and it was surprisingly empty. Usually on a Friday night bowling alleys are crowded and annoying. We walked in and the guys working at Viking were super friendly and offered to turn on fun lights or music for us if we wanted. An episode of Criminal Minds I haven't seen was on in the background so I was a little distracted :P The only bad thing about this place is that the pins didn't have a ton of action so it was a little discouraging at times. It was a clean alley and also had an arcade room and offered lottery.
Overall I give Viking recreation center an 8!
The lack of action in the pins was the only thing that brought it down from a 10. The guys there were so nice I wish I could have brought a million people in there to give them the business. I'm hoping we just went on an off night.

Secret picture I took of Pete ;)

TSHIRT FEATURE V.22

I'm excited to bring back my tshirt features. I've been a little uninspired the last few months and I'm excited that my friend Stan is back again to do another feature.

Name/Location: Hi! Lynn! I’m Stan and I live in a suburb of the great city of Atlanta, GA

Tell me about the shirt: This is an XL Fire & Ice shirt. Printed on a AAA brand tee shirt.

Why is it important to you? Because I do realize that Fire & Ice rocks, ok! Friends supporting a friend that’s what I believe in. I’ve also been known to wear this with a Fire & Ice hat and Fire & Ice sweat shorts. Don’t Judge me. Shit when it gets cold I might wear it under a Fire & Ice hooded sweatshirt.

Where did you get it? I picked this bad boy up at the Naysayer record release a few weeks ago for $10. How cool is that? I got a sweet shirt from a sweet band and I didn’t have to drop a lot of money on it over Ebay, I know it seems hard to believe but you can go to shows and see good bands and buy their merch straight from the.

Any story you want to share about it? One time I saw Free Spirit and Rival Mob and bought merch and didn’t resale it on ebay. Is that hard to believe in 2011? I try to only wear shirts from bands that are still bands and still play hardcore gigs(sometimes I wear my Killing Time shirt I got from you, Thanks for that by the way.) When Out Crowd gigs I try to wear my friend’s band shirt. Well today is 9-11 so I’ll wear a Warzone shirt, R.I.P. Ray

Post your blog/band site/whatever: I sing for a youth crew oi band called Out Crowd and do a poor job at the tumblr game. http://lifeofalifer.tumblr.com/

Sunday

Sunday afternoon I met up with mike and Garvey to get reginas.

Look at that bubble!!! Mmm! After that we walked over to modern, but it was way too crowded so we walked to bova.
Garvey got a cannoli, me and mike got little red velvet whoopie pies

After that we walked around fanueil hall and the waterfront.

Then me and Garvey headed to go pick up pete and go bowling. We headed over to metro bowling in Peabody. It was another new alley for us and WE LOVED IT! It was super clean and big. They also had a great Sunday night special. 10 a person for 2 hours of bowling w/ a soda.

Then we headed to buffalo wild wings for a late night dinner. I fell asleep right after that.

Saturday night

Saturday we had a plan to bake potatoes.

I cleaned the potatoes and coated them with extra virgin olive oil and kosher salt. Baked them for an hour at 350 degrees.

They were super yummy!
Then we (Pete, Garvey, and I) decided to go bowling. We headed over to Ron's in Hyde park. We've never been there before and it's pretty close to my house.

Ron's is actually more famous for their ice cream, so of course Garvey and I had to try it.

Pete had an air head(mystery white of course)
