TGIF

Well I'm pretty happy it is 4pm on a Friday afternoon, this work day/week has gone by so slow and I'm ready to head home.
Lately I've tried to get my life in some kind of order. I've been eating slightly better and going to the gym as of yesterday (hey its a start).
In the next few days I'll be looking for water shoes and maybe work out clothes/shoes. I'm pretty excited to take a water zumba class so I can not be in horrible pain while working out. I'm hoping after all this I will have my lungs built up for when softball starts in a couple of months.
Garvey has also been working out and eating better and he has lost a bunch of weight! Check him out! Maybe we will have hot beach bods for when we head to Texas.

Tonight we are checking out a pizza place in Braintree, its called Easy Pie. They had a lot of pizza/ sandwich options and it has decent reviews on Yelp.

Here is a Friday music video for you: Black Friday- Steely Dan

The Danger Booth

On Saturday afternoon I took a trip up to Lynn to hang with Caitlin and the beb. Once Chris and Dave arrived we headed to Spikes for dinner. I don't think I've had a better hot dog there, something about it that day was so good. After that we popped over to Grillo's Pickles for The Danger Booth open house Zac was having. It was a lot of fun taking a bunch of pictures and you just press a little clicker to take the picture!
Here is the link to the gallery of pictures. We seriously took up the whole last few pages hahaha.

Fill in the blank Friday

1. The love of my life is: Probably food and when I own a pig then they will be the love of my life.

2. Falling in love is: stressful, exciting, tiring. Obviously I'm not much of a lover hahaha.

3. Marriage is: Something I would like to have someday, but don't see it in my cards for a long time. I like watching wedding shows and I'm really exciting for Becky's wedding this fall!

4. The longest relationship I've ever had was: About two years, so glad that is behind me!

5. The key to a good relationship is: I'm not really sure yet.

6. I feel loved when: Someone does something thoughtful for me or surprises me with something. I don't think I'm hard to please at all.

7. My favorite quote about love is: " Love Stinks "

Stuff I'm looking forward to

There are a couple of things that I'm REALLY looking forward to.

I've gone around the country to see Cock Sparrer and by some miracle they are playing in Boston. They are playing on Saturday May 19th and I got my ticket right when they went on sale last Friday. They are playing Philly the day before and normally I would try to go to both days, but I can't miss work that Friday so I have to miss out on the Philly date.
The superbowl of HC is the same day as the Boston Cock Sparrer show and I'm kind of bummed that I'm missing Outburst, but I can't miss Cock Sparrer playing 30 minutes from my house.

I think my favorite time seeing them is when I was in Las Vegas and I got to see them play a small club. It was only a few hundred people and it was so exciting to see them play a smaller stage. The other Las Vegas show was outside and a big stage (almost like a warped tour setting) it was still fun seeing them, but I was so far away. San Francisco was really fun, but I did't get to spend enough time there :(. Austin was the first time I saw them and I almost cried with excitement. Fifth Time will be awesome I'm sure.

June 1st I will be flying to Austin for Chaos in Tejas. The last time I went to this fest was in 09 so I'm excited to be able to go this year! My uncle Charlie was able to help me out with a flight and hotel so I'm so excited that those things are already booked and I don't have to worry about planning it. I only need to book a rental car for Garvey and I, I've been trying to Priceline name my own price on one.
I got my tickets for the Breakdown, Omegas, No Tolerance, Free Spirit, Stick Together show on Friday and Sunday for the Ringworm, The Abused, Cold World, The Rival Mob, The Ropes, Boston Strangler, Power Trip show on Sunday.
I might go to a couple of other shows too, but those are the ones that I know I'm going to.
I can't wait to eat lots of BBQ and adventure around.

Add to want list

Now that I finally upgraded my Iphone I was looking for cases for it. I saw this yesterday and fell in love with it.

Love it!

Valentines day chatter

Well Valentines day is usually on a work day and I think every year the two ladies I work with get roses delivered for them in the office. Now I'm always a little jealous, but then I think.... why would I want roses? I don't really care about taking care of them, and I'm not crazy about the smell of flowers. I love how flowers look though.
Then I was thinking....if I ever got something this is what I would want instead of flowers.

S'mores bouquet (who would want flowers when you can have marshmallow goodness?!)

Sweet Lydias makes these and they are a local Massachusetts company

cookie cakes are always cute and so many places do them

This one happens to be made by cookies by design

There is a local cupcake place near me called Treat, I talk about them a bunch. On Facebook I saw they were doing Valentine cupcakes. Those would be cute too!

Well there ya go, my idea of cute ideas that arnt flowers.

Jason Wu for Target

I didn't sleep Friday night so yesterday I was super tired. Last night when I finally fell asleep I slept for so long. I overslept and couldn't get to Target early for the Jason Wu collection. When I got up I saw all the pictures of stuff my friends got and I was bummed I couldn't go. I decided I was going to go to a Target that was slightly in the middle of nowhere. I decided I was going to go to Easton and I was able to get two shirts! I figured I would check out Plainville even though they told me they were sold out of everything except some scarves. I got there and they had a few items! I tried on two dresses, two skirts and another shirt. They had no accessories though haha.

These are the things that I got:

I had to get the gray shirt in medium, but I wish I had a small. I wont be greedy!

These are the things that I wish I got:

Maybe I will be able to score stuff at Target if someone returns them?

I wish this was me

I wish this was me right now, I'm so tired and can't fall asleep. I blame it on taking a sip of soda tonight and not taking my tylenol PM.
Tomorrow I need to be up early to go cry to the sewing store and meet up for lunch at four burgers in Cambridge.

Fill in the blank Friday & some other stuff

1. If money wasn't an issue, the first thing I'd cross of my life list is:
I would book a trip to Disney, fly first class there, stay in a fun resort in disney and eat so much food! I would probably stay there for a whole week

2. Mustard on french fries: I would do it if I was desperate, I love yellow mustard.

3. If my life were a movie right now, the title would be: Who knew sewing was so stressful?

4. Three things I am looking forward to this month are: The weekend coming up, hopefully learning more about my sewing machine, booking my trip for Chaos in Tejas

5. My favorite song to sing in the shower is: I don't sing in the shower, but I like to sing in my car.

6. If I found out that the production of Krave cereal was ending this month, I'd go out and buy as much as I could tomorrow.

7. One thing I'll never grow tired of is: eating snacks

Well it all started out okay...

Well after returning another machine because I was unsure of myself I went out and bought another sewing machine yesterday.
Ann's fabics and sewing machines is a few buildings over from my work so I headed over there after I got out. I went in and talking to the woman working there explaining how I had no experience at all and I was interesting in learning how to sew.
She brought me over to the beginner machines and lets say they were not the $13,000 machines. Well I tried one out by Baby Lock and it was pretty easy when I was sewing. In my mind I wasn't so scared of the actual sewing part, but the whole setting up the machine is what I was scared of. Well after talking it over with me she told me I could do it and I bought a machine.
I ended up with the Baby Lock Anna, she was trying to tell me that I would outgrow this machine, but still stood by my choice. I have the experience of ZERO so I figured I was okay.

Well...
Later that night I tried setting it up and I can't even wind the bobbin, after having a meltdown I gave up. I will be going back to the store today after work to try to have them teach me how to wind the bobbin.
