TGIFFFFFFFF HELLO

Well it is finally Friday and it is almost time to leave work. I think I might reward myself with a small piece of fudge for making it through the week. :P

I have been going to the gym lately and I've been pretty good with going and sticking with it. I've been doing a mix of some pool classes and some cardio things. I've lost some weight! Go me! I've been using this app called "Lose it" and its awesome.

Here are a few pictures from the past week or so, most of them are on Instagram! My name is Littlexlynn on there

I was in the locker room of the gym waiting for my mom to get out of a class. I was so red and tired.

The past week (Image heavy)

Last Friday my mom came home from Newport, RI. She brought me home a cupcake from Cupcake Charlies and I was excited to try it, because I have heard so much about their treats. I had an Oreo one and it was OKAY. I felt there was way too much frosting on the cupcake and then there was a filling, so I give it a 5.
Saturday morning my mom dropped off Garvey and I at South Station and I headed over to the bus station for my bus to NYC. The Megabus with the mega rude people! I got to NYC and Becky met up with me and we walked around a lot. When we were in Chelsea Market I saw Ted Allen!
We went to Hill Country BBQ for late lunch/early dinner and I got brisket w/ mac & cheese and corn bread. It was REALLY good and I could eat that mac & cheese forever. They only used cheddar and it was perfectly sharp and they burnt it on top just a bit. I love when mac & cheese is simple and not overwhelmed with a ton of cheeses. Becky is vegetarian, she got sweet potatoes and the mac & cheese. She also got a Big Red soda, but we will overlook that, hahaha.
After that we headed towards the show (we were going to see Killing Time and Suburban Scum at the Gramercy Theater) we made a few stops along the way to look at some stores.
I was able to take a couple pictures of Killing Time with my phone, but where I was standing on the side of the stage was kind of a weird angle. I didn't like the venue at all though. Hardcore shows shouldn't have a barricade, there was pretty much no lights on at all, weird movie seats in the back.
After the show I walked back to the Megabus terminal and waited for my bus. I was lucky enough to get a table seat and no one next to me! Yipee!
Pete picked me up at 6am when I got back in (what a sweetie!).

Thanksgiving night Garvey, Pete, and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings. The Best Buy line was next to us through the window and it was wild. My mom and Brenda actually stood in line at Walmart and now we have a working tv!

Sitting around at home

Well the past few days have been pretty rainy and gross. Last night I made Pete dinner and we didn't do anything exciting, but tonight we are going to go out to eat and bowl. We have been bowling a lot lately (Garvey too) and we are really trying to raise our averages. At Westgate lanes during the week if you bowl after 9 its half price so we usually do that during the week.

This weekend is going to be very fun! Friday night I'm heading to Providence for this show:

I get to see Mitch again, his band is Sacred Love. I'm so excited that I get to hang out with him :) Last time that they played here I wasn't home.

Saturday I'm taking an early bus to NYC so I can see Killing time & Suburban Scum.

I get to hang out with Becky all day so I'm so excited. I haven't seen her since August and it wasn't for very long :(
I'm taking a really late bus back home and then Sunday Pete and I are going to go see Martha Marcy May Marlene! I'm not a huge movie person, but I want to see this one.

November 9th

Well I'm sitting here at work on my lunch and I can't believe its already November 9th! There are many things swirling around in my head and I hope time doesn't fly by too quickly for the rest of this year. I'm thinking how I should probably start crocheting a few scarves for christmas and I should start planning some posts for Tee till death for the rest of this week. Now I'm not a very crafty person, but I can make a scarf. I wish it was something I could sell, but I just don't think it is worth it for me to make an etsy page or anything.

Yesterday I took a day off of work, I have a few vacation days I need to use before the end of this year and I did a focus group in Boston yesterday and figured it was worth taking a day. This was the longest one I ever did, three hours of writing stuff down and my little hands were hurting. After it ended I picked up cupcakes at Cakeology and hopped on the red line to Pete. We kind of drove around aimlessly for a long time before we finally found somewhere to eat. We grabbed chinese food in Swampscott and then headed home.

I have three days that I need to use before the end of the year and I've been brainstorming as to what I could use them for. I don't really plan to go away and I'm going to New York next weekend to see Killing Time and also on Dec 3rd to get tattooed with Joanna. Maybe I'll take a day to go to the casino or something. I really hope I can score a new job before the year ends, just saving on my health insurance would make me soooo happy!

Well I will leave you with a music video and a picture of my new calendar I bought Monday night.

Allergy eyes

Today I was back to work after my long weekend in Philly. Stef and I left here Thursday night and picked up jess in Ct. Of course the ride was traffic filled and we got there sometime between 3 & 4 am. After little to no sleep we started our day by walking to get some food.
At the show on Friday I was looking forward to seeing token entry! I haven't seen them in a few years so I was a little giddy to see them.
Here are some Friday pictures

Saturday I didn't really have any bands I was looking forward to. I was excited that I got to see pete the whole day though :D
Sunday was the day I was looking forward to the most because killing time was playing!

Killing time had a 5XL shirt for sale!! Holy guacamole!
Monday me and Garvey walked to chick FIL a before check out.

I was finally reunited with the lemon pie.
I guess it was raining really bad back at home so our flight was delayed.
I'm hoping some other pictures from this weekend pop up that I can steal.

this is a review i did for the atlanta youth report a couple months ago

review for killing time's new record Three Steps Back. i just wanted to put it on here so i wouldnt lose it forever!

so ive never written a review before so here it goes :)
so this actually took me days to do and i didnt realize how hard it
was to write a review. hahah i dont know any musical terms and i just
tried to describe it in the best way i could. i just love killing time
so much and wish i could make it the best thing ever.

After about 14 years New York's Killing Time is back with another full
length album and no one is more excited than I am. The album is very
simple, yet so perfect. Every song is around the 2 minute mark and
each song hits you right from the beginning to the end. Anthony's
voice doesn't sounds like it has aged at all, and you just want to
sing along to every song. For all the people that say they only like
Brightside, shut up and listen to this album.

Flight Plan- Slaps you right in the face with the drums and guitar.
You just cant help but sing along to this song and play air guitar in
your room. Who doesnt love to yell "fuck them" then followed with a
breakdown.

Spaceheater- This was the first song off the new album I heard when
they started to play some newer songs and put some samples up online.
This was also my favorite song out of the newer ones. A perfect mix of
slower parts and faster parts. "Dont close your eyes or you might
think you're dead"

24- Now when I first heard this song I wasn't in love with it, but
I've come more around it. I cant really relate to the lyrics, but the
song has a fun poppy punk feel to it. The fast energy in this song
mixes things up a bit.

Cropduster- This song first hits you with a faster punk guitar part,
but soon goes into anthony's voice hitting you with the perfect amount
of aggressive style. This song also has a punk feel to it, but then
breaks it up with strong vocals and a harder music part.

Mingus- The lyrics are awesome, this song has a way more mature feel.
This song is a really nice break in the album from the harder hitting
songs. Anthony's vocals bring a hard punch, while the guitar carries
you through the song. I can see some people being a little thrown off
by this song, but it rules.

The Accident- The song starts off with you instantly bobbing your
head. Its so catchy and has the perfect mix of sing along, hard parts,
and poppy parts. The song ends with the chant "we've all been
searching through the wreckage"

Rope-A-Dope- This song has a very old school hardcore punk style. I
feel like the drums lead you through this song, but the vocals give a
good intensity. I feel like the older guys will groove to this.

Inheritance- Now this song has an interesting feel to it, another song
that kind of slows it down a bit. I hope to see KT play this song in
the future!

Half Empty- Now this song rules so much! A fast song to get everyone
going and singing along. The guitar comes in at the most perfect times
in this song. in my opinion this is the best sing along song on the
album and the song rules live.

Lookout- This is a fun song and i feel like it displays everyone
playing so well. This song is pretty short and sweet.

Crouch- Now after listening to this song so much it has quickly became
one of my favorites. " I took two steps forward, you took three steps
back. Dont be a pussy boy, pick up your slack." I can get into this
song so much. honorable mention to the awesome guitar part in this
song also.

AKB- Well they saved the best for last (in my opinion of course ;P).
The moment I heard this song it was my favorite. From the music to the
lyrics the song just gives me the best feeling. Once you think the
song is over, its not.

EVERYONE PLEASE GO OUT AND PICK UP "THREE STEPS BACK" ON DEAD CITY RECORDS

Dook Truck: No More Mr. Nice Guy

friday night i had a bad softball game then me, graham, garvey, and stef went to kellys in allston for some yummys. after eating there we went to boston bowl to bowl...duh. i guess it was prom night in dorchester or something haha, so many prom dresses and guys in matching suits. the second game we played i was so tired, but i won. then i went to bed.

i wore this outfit yesterday to the show (its actually an old picture from a year ago, but its the same outfit so whatever!!!) :P

i wore this shirt because it was originally a killing time show, but they had to cancel. so i was in mourning :( and i usually wear killing time shirts anyway!!
i actually have 2 of these shirts, one is resized a little (the one in the picture) and i kept one normal, incase someone wants to trade me something i dont have.

i met up with meredith at the watertown mall. then we + chris went to spikes. and the creepy guy came in as we were finishing (hes probably reading this)
then we were off to haverhill. mer and mor have the kookiest gps and it sent them some funky way. so i made it like 25 minutes before them.
THE SHOW WAS HOT INSIDE... so hot i stole some of heathers slush..... but at least i told her.
new lows was good and mark is the best!
the fake wrongside covered no more mr nice guy and it made me happy... it was for me because i was sad.

here is the video that peter/his girlfriend took. you can see me in it! and mer looking like an angel in the back :)

then after sitting around the show outside until everyone dried off a little me, garvey, mer, and mor went to super walmart in salem NH. we got stuff, then went to sonic in wilmington. mer and mor got so many french toast sticks!
then we all went home.
