August part 2

I tried to do this post twice, but my phone messed up somehow.

Once coming home from Philly settled, it was time for Joanna and Shane to visit for their anniversary. After picking them up from the bus we grabbed breakfast at cabots. They got to check in early, which was great, off to marshfield we went.

The fair is always great, I can't wait until topsfield next month.

The next day we went bowling and walked around castle island, it was so nice outside.

The next weekend was super jam packed for Saturday. I woke up early to head to my cousin Lisa's bridal shower. It was really great to see them and to get excited about the wedding this month. I finally found a maxi dress that was short enough for me. I was posted up with aunt sue for most of it.
After that I headed back into the city to see Caitlin and Ellie for a bit.

Having ice cream brings everyone together!

Once they were back on the road mike Garvey and I headed for food and sheer terror.

Heres a couple of awful pictures I took. I got to hang out with a bunch of people so that was great. I wish they would play all of my favorite songs though.

The next morning was not so fun moving mike.

In the last weekend of August I managed to get tattooed by Franz again!

I don't really take pictures of anything so here's this one I stole from him.

August part 1

I've been up to date on reading my blogs I follow, but I've had a hard time finding the inspiration to update mine. There's something very rejuvenating about the fall. Now that it's officially September I'm hoping that the bug bites me.

In August I went to Philly. It was really nice to take a few days off of work, I don't really get to do that often. I mainly just wanted to catch up with a lot of people and see Caitlin and the baby.
Garvey and I actually flew in and Erik picked us up.

I won't write too much about this is hardcore. It was a tiring, but great 4 days. While I was in Philly Erik and I actually got to see Black Sabbath too.

It was really hard to leave, I generally get upset when I have to go back to work.
That's a huge reason why I'm going to start classes this fall.

Well that's enough for this post, ill make another post for the rest.

Love!

I'm so in love with this! I go through phases where I forget about it, then I think about it again and I want it like crazy!

Slow week

Well there hasn't been a ton to write about lately. The weather has been rough and it's tough to think when the last time it's been this rainy. I have a few pictures from the last 3 weeks or so, since that's about the last time I posted here. I've posted in my other blog, but that's exclusively candlepin stuff.

Here is the burger I got from shake shack, I was very excited to open it up and the pickles were Mickey Mouse!

A couple of weekends ago Garvey, mike and I checked out Windy City eats in weymouth. I've been meaning to check this place out forever. The food was great. I got a corn dog and chili cheese fries. Garvey got a sausage and regular fries. Mike got a chili cheese hot dog, spicy corn dog and chili cheese fries. We all tried different stuff and it was great across the board. I can't wait to go back!

This is frustrating, I have this video on my phone. I hate when you are set up perfectly for a spare and then you blow it, but then pick up the 10 right after. UGH COME ONNNNN

YouTube Video

Mike and I at Dairy Queen. Chocolate with cherry dip forever!

Julia made key lime ice cream

There was a big crew of us helping Caitlin and Dave move. After moving boxes I moved over to Elinor duty once she woke up! I think I got a better work out thank moving, Ellie is nonstop!!! We went up and down 5 flights of stairs and ran up and down every hallway, going up and down the elevator when I was dying haha.

Eventful Saturday

Usually my weekends are spent at Mike's, but with Mike and Garvey going to Maine on Saturday I was staying put in Stoughton. I woke up early and while I was laying around I decided I would go to the farmers markets. After running to the bank quickly I first went to the one in the parking lot of the Stoughton train station. The weather was still rather crappy at 9:45 and there wasn't a ton of venders. I picked up 2 zucchinis from Langwater farm.
My uncle wanted to bet on the Belmont Stakes so we headed to the dog track quickly to do that.

Needless to say that since greyhound racing stopped, this place has fallen hard.

On the way back on 138 we stopped at the Simpson Springs farmers market in Easton.

They are a soda/water company and this one was awesome. It's actually inside and that was nice. I picked up some salty feta cheese from Narragansett Creamery, blueberry bread from Proofed and a 6 pack of sodas from Simpson Springs. They have so many kinds and you get to make your own mixed pack. I got raspberry lime Rickey, fruit punch and lemon lime sodas.
Then lastly I went to the one at Crescent Ridge. I picked up some black lava sea salt caramels from McCrea's Candies.

After laying around for a while I eventually got out and met up with Amber.
We met up at shake shack

Gimme all of the burgers

After walking around Legacy Place in Dedham we went to Ron's in Hyde Park. I bowled in the 90s so that was good. Sadly I didn't partake in any ice cream, I was just too tired at that point. I was like 10:30.

Time flies, but not really.

Well I can't honestly think of the last time I blogged on here, but there are many reasons for that. I was never personally a huge computer person and I can't even think of the last time I was on my laptop (probably to apply for a job I will never get). I have actually done a few blog posts on my phone for my candlepin blog, but this one has been neglected. I always liked displaying shirts on here, but since Instagram is SO EASY I usually just post shirts on there. My softball season is in full swing now and I'm playing for two teams (Quincy and Hingham), with both teams I've been having multiple games a week so I've been pretty dead. This week I had games Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. My legs have been pretty dead to say the least. Also in the middle of all this I've been trying to eat better and also hit the pool at the gym when I have an off day. My fibro has been a huge factor in all this, but I'm trying to push it aside and still get done what I have to do. With attempted gyming and softball during my weekdays I still want and like to bowl on the weekends. Then there is those things called friends and I barely get to see them too, oh why can't I just win the lottery and never work again and have fun ALL THE TIME. Its not for lack of trying though, I'm a sad Massachusetts loser who plays the lottery all the time. Next Friday I'm looking forward to getting tattooed by Caz Williamson again, hes going to be doing a 3 week long guest spot at Good Faith in Boston and I suggest everyone I know to go get something from him while he is here. I was lucky enough to grab something when he was here last time and I was so happy with the tattoo and the experience. His name on instagram is TattoosbyCaz if you want to check him out!

New to me alley : Central Lanes in East Boston

Well Garvey and I have been talking about checking this place out forever. After an acquired living social deal for blackstrap BBQ in Winthrop we decided it was time to finally go.
We called and there was a busy signal so we decided to drive by on the way back. The place was dark and the locals were hanging inside, we were the only ones bowling for a while, but it was a super cool place.

Well all of a sudden music was blaring on the touch tunes and I honestly felt like I was in an 80s movie (aka my dream).

The pins had pretty good action and they were reasonably priced. Soon a couple came in and the sounds of pins flying were pretty loud. After 3 strings we decided to head out. I bowled my best game in a while with a 106.

I'm very up and down when I bowl. Dumb pain and being tired.

Hopefully we will be back in the future!
